Will you forget me? Will the future look back and wonder what happened to the young girl who used to sit under the shade of the maple, when its leaves made the young twigs bend with their weight? That maple which is now ancient; its bark is wrinkled and flaking; the limbs fall from its crown like the hairs off an old mans head. No one stays to hear its story, the youth are not interested in the tales of the old, they are preoccupied with the constant movement of the future, ever forward, never pausing, like a raging river bound for the sea. Who can fight against that current? Who has the will to stop and learn wisdom? If they did, I would tell them so many things! I would tell them what to embrace, and what to refrain from. I would tell them to remember everything! For in everything lies a purpose, a lesson that can be taught over and over again. But if you remember, you only need to learn it once. Be mindful! It is so easy to forget, too easy. How much had I forgotten? How many times did I trip over the same stones in my path? How many times had I fallen in the same ditches? And how many times had I stopped to marvel at the same pointless material wonders that had slowed my quest before? If I had only remembered to remember, the journey would have profited so much more!
that was soo cool! I loved the style and the writing. some good thoughts there, very nice
